How to participate

The stakeholder engagement and communications program includes a variety of web-based and face-to-face approaches to reach out to and engage community and industry groups, GO Transit rail system users, and the general public.

Participating Online

We invite you to provide feedback at several key points during the Electrification Study. Discussion topics and questions will be posted by the study team to seek your comments and feedback from the convenience of your computer keyboard.

There are 2 main ways to provide online feedback as part of the Electrification Study:

  • Send an email to the Electrification Study Team.
  • Provide comments on Electrification Study discussion topics and questions.
    No discussion topics or questions are currently posted for feedback at this time. Please check back frequently for opportunities to provide feedback on Electrification Study discussion topics and questions.

Other Engagement Methods

Additional stakeholder engagement methods are expected to include:

  • Workshops with non-government organizations.
  • Geographically-based workshops to engage stakeholders in various parts of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
  • Briefings for municipal, provincial and federal government agencies.
  • Technical working groups for rail and electrical supply and distribution service providers.
  • School-based consultation with youth – future users of the GO system.
  • Meetings with GO’s former Customer Service Advisory Committee – made up of rail system users.
