Operational Noise and Vibration Mitigation – Public Meetings and Next Steps

Earlier this month, we hosted three public meetings to discuss the results of the Draft Operational Noise and Vibration Study and to present mitigation options to the community for Opening Day 2015 and the Future Build. Metrolinx staff and noise and vibration experts were on hand to answer questions and receive comments from the public.

The public meetings, held on November 15, 17 and 22, were attended by 59 people. Thank you to everyone who attended the meetings and provided feedback. The draft report highlights the recommended noise and vibration mitigation based on the noise and vibration assessment. We will review all the feedback and make a final decision on mitigation for Opening Day 2015 and report back to the community in early 2012. Please stay tuned for a meeting date and time.
