February 9, 2012 – Strachan Area Public Meeting
On February 9, we hosted the Strachan Quarterly Update Meeting to brief the
community on the project progress and what to expect now that major construction
has begun for the Strachan Avenue Overpass. 10 people attended the meeting,
where we provided an overview of the GTS Project, an update on the construction
activities to date, and a look ahead on what to expect. We also provided an
update on our Operational Noise
and Vibration Mitigation Plan, and informed the community of our commitment
to install all the recommended noise mitigation (sound walls) for Opening Day
2015.
The meeting also provided us with the opportunity to get valuable feedback
from attendees about pedestrian and traffic management and other construction
impacts. We will evaluate the comments and determine how we can minimize any
disruptions to the surrounding community. Thank you to everyone who attended the
