Bloor GO Station

At Bloor GO Station, we are making improvements to make the station more accessible, and increase the safety and comfort for our customers. The station will be the first stop on the Kitchener rail corridor departing Union Station and will be a stop for the new Air Rail Link.

Project Schedule

  • Construction start: fall 2012
  • Construction complete: early 2015

What we are doing

  • Making improvements to the existing station to improve accessibility and customer experience
  • This includes a new barrier-free pedestrian tunnel, rehabilitation of existing pedestrian access from Bloor Street, a new ticket sales booth, heated shelters and more

How this will affect you

  • Minor impacts are expected for those living near the project site such as noise, dust and increased traffic from construction vehicles

Tenders

Design consultant: Morrison Hershfield
Construction contractor: Not yet awarded
