West Corridor Bridges

The West Corridor Bridges work package involves widening for railway bridges in the western portion of the Georgetown South corridor: Kipling Avenue, Martin Grove Road, Highway 27 and Highway 427.

Updates

  • April 30 – At Highway 427, work on constructing a retaining wall under the bridge continues with the placement of formwork and rebar. We are pouring concrete for the retaining wall facing in sections where the formwork and rebar have already been placed. Once the concrete is strong enough, the formwork will be removed.
This work is expected to be complete by the summer. Phase 2 of the West Corridor Bridge package – which involves widening the bridges at Kipling Avenue, Martin Grove Road and Highway 27 – is expected to start in the summer.
