MANAGER CUSTOMER CONTACT

$88,855 to $111,608 per annum

 With an excellent benefit package, including OMERS Pension Plan

manage effective, efficient and timely delivery of communications and operational information to GO Transit customers and internal operating departments.  This position is responsible for managing the Customer Contact Centre operations and staff; managing the investigation of, and response to, Customer Contacts; managing operational information communicated to GO Transit customers; and managing daily bargaining unit issues and participating in Collective Agreement negotiations.

Location:  20 Bay Street, Toronto.
Qualifications:   A thorough understanding of the principles and practices of public relations, customer service and communications normally attained through completion of University Degree, or Community College diploma and designation in corporate Communications, in a related discipline, or any combination of education and experience deemed to be equivalent. Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience providing an extensive background in customer service, contract management, call centre operations, and public relations.  Fluency in French that meets Ontario Public Service (OPS) standards is an asset.  Must have highly developed interpersonal skills, tact, persuasiveness, and organizational skills. Superior communications skills, both orally and in writing to provide effective customer service, public communications, and staff development.  Excellent understanding of management principles and sound business practices. A thorough understanding of Call Centre operations and ability to resolve escalated customer issues.  A good understanding of the operational transit issues, web technologies, and outcomes in order to convey operational issues and communications to customers, media and stakeholders.  Must successfully complete environmental, safety, supervisory, management and any other training required by corporate policy.
