PART-TIME STATION ATTENDANT

Start Rate $18.89 per hour
$18.89 - $23.60 per hour (ATU Bargaining

GO
Transit requires an individual to sell tickets and passes, deposit revenues,
provide information to passengers, and handle lost and found articles in an
appropriate manner. This position is also responsible for carrying out
basic janitorial services; maintenance and minor repairs of assigned GO
Transit stations and grounds. This position will involve working Monday,
Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (0615-1030 hours), Wednesday (0615-1155
hours); the last two business days of each month (1630 - 1935 hours), with
Saturday and Sunday as off days. |

| Qualifications:
Completion of high school education or equivalent combination of education,
training and experience. Six months’ experience either in cash handling or
janitorial services, and dealing with the direct public. Good oral and
written communications skills and the ability to deal courteously with the
public. Ability to read and understand tariffs, manuals and schedules.
Ability to learn and operate computers, and other electronic equipment.
Must be able to obtain and maintain First Aid Certification. Must
successfully complete safety, environmental and any other training required
by corporate policy. |
