Consultant Assignment

Metrolinx is accepting Proposals for the provision of Consultant’s Services for an Electrification Study Evaluating Future Technologies for the GO Transit rail system (the ”Services”).  The study shall consider the economic, social, environmental, operational, health and technological costs and benefit factors for conventional and future diesel and electric technologies under study.

A Mandatory Information Meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 121 King Street, Suite 300, Rooms 4-180A and 4-179B, Toronto, Ontario (King St. @ York St.).  

Failure of a Consultant to attend the information meeting, or have a member of their Corporate Project Team attend the information meeting, and be registered and present for the entire meeting from the time the meeting is called to order and until the meeting is adjourned, will result in suspension of their eligibility to submit a Proposal for the Services. 

Consultants are to e-mail confirmation of attendance at the Mandatory Information Meeting to Ian.Caie@gotransit.com and provide the Consultant name, phone number and number of attendees, no later than 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2009.  Metrolinx reserves the right to limit number of attendees per company.

Sealed Proposals, in hard copy only, will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the Metrolinx Procurement and Contract Services Office located at 20 Bay Street, Suite 600, Purchasing Counter, Toronto, Ontario, M5J 2W3.

Metrolinx reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals at its sole discretion.
