REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE RENUMBERING OF PLATFORM STATIC SIGNAGE AT UNION STATION
 

GO Transit invites Proposals for the Provision of all Labour, Materials and Equipment Required for the Design, Construct, Fabrications, Supply, Delivery and Installation of Platform Static Signage at Union Station located at 140 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario, including the following other locations:  York, Central and Bay Street Concourses, The Blue Route, York, centre and Bay Street Promenade York Street East Teamway, Bay Street East and West Teamways, The Bus Platform , The Head House and its links to the Skywalk, totalling twenty-four (24) packages of work by zone with changes or replacement of approximately six hundred (600) signs. 

The Work of the Contract includes, but is not limited to:  (a) Replacement of Existing Signs with New Signs;  (b)  Removal of Existing Signs;  (c)  Covering of Existing Signs; (d)  Installation of New Signs;  and (e)  Face Changes to Illuminated Signs.
 

A Mandatory Site/Information Meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 26, 2008 at GO Transit’s Union Station located at 140 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario (Bay St. @ Front St.).  Contractors are requested to meet in front of the Customer Service Area located in front of the Bay Street Entrance.  Failure of Contractors to be present and registered from the time the meeting is called to order, for the entire meeting, until the meeting is adjourned will result in disqualification from bidding.
 

Contractors must wear a hard hat, safety boots and a safety vest at the site meeting(s).  Failure to satisfy these requirements will result in exclusion from the Site and disqualification from bidding.
 

Proposal Documents are available weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. from GO Transit’s Procurement and Contract Services Office located at 20 Bay Street, Suite 600, Purchasing Counter, Toronto, Ontario upon payment of a $100 non-refundable document charge by cash (exact change only) or certified cheque (personal cheques not accepted), payable to the “Greater Toronto Transit Authority”.  Proposal Documents are available only in hard copy format.  Proposal Documents must be picked up in person and shall only be issued to persons who provide all of the following information: company name, address, telephone and fax numbers and contact name and who reference the above Proposal number and or project description.

Each Proposal must be accompanied by a bid deposit of $50,000 in the form of a bid bond, certified cheque, bank draft or Letter of Credit payable to the “Greater Toronto Transit Authority”.
 

Sealed Proposals will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at the same Procurement and Contract Services Office, and will be opened immediately upon closing.
 

GO Transit reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals at its sole discretion.
