Tax Credit
The Federal Transit Tax Credit came into effect on July 1, 2006
to help offset your commuting costs.
To claim this credit on your income tax return, keep your monthly passes
throughout the year. Your GO monthly pass will be the receipt for income tax
purposes. We will not issue special receipts or replace lost passes.
Please note that not all transit systems’ passes meet all the conditions
for claiming the credit and both the pass and a separate receipt may be
needed. If you also use a transit system besides GO, please check with that
system.
