Going to school

GO Transit makes it easy to get to school. Everything you need to learn about your commute to school is right here or visit our Student Services Centre at 140 Bay Street in the GO Main Concourse. From August 26 to September 20, trained staff will be on hand to help you get a PRESTO card and answer all your questions. Once you get to school look for GO reps on campus or pick up a Campus Survival Pack with GO info. New to GO? Start here.

Student fares & GO Student IDs

Discounted fares are available for most post-secondary students who use the PRESTO fare card.

Getting to school is easy:

  1. Pick up a re-loadable PRESTO card from wherever you buy GO Tickets.
  2. Set it up for student fares. Save at least 17% off all your rides.
  3. Register your card, so if you lose it, your balance is safe.
  4. Save time, load your card before you board.

Always travel with GO-issued student ID.

GO Student ID

To qualify for the student fare passengers must have GO-approved student ID. Check out the GO Student ID page to learn how to get your card.

Students in elementary, junior high and high school must carry their valid school ID in order to receive the GO student fare discount for PRESTO fares. Learn more at our GO Student ID page.
