Also starting December 30, 2017, there will be changes to Barrie corridor bus routes, more trips and stops on other routes, and changes to other GO bus services to improve schedule reliability and provide better connections.

  • Barrie corridor buses:
    • New midday and evening Barrie GO train services are replacing many GO bus services along the corridor during those times.
    • Bus services north of Aurora will provide convenient, hourly connections to the new train service at Aurora GO Station.
  • Highway 407 bus routes west of York University:
    • We are opening a new GO bus terminal at the new Highway 407 Station on the TTC Line 1 subway extension to give customers better connections. This means that, starting December 30, GO bus routes 25F, 46, 47, 47F, 48, 48B and 48F will now stop at this station on their way to or from York University.
    • If you currently travel between Mississauga and York University on a route that will stop at the station, you may need to adjust your schedules slightly. Buses leaving for York University will depart five to 10 minutes earlier and buses leaving from York University will arrive at your destinations five to 10 minutes later. Using routes 45, 45A or 48A could save you time, as those buses will not stop at the new station.
    • Customers can easily transfer between the subway, YRT/VIVA and GO bus service at the station.
    • The new GO bus terminal will have a GO customer service counter and indoor waiting area, PRESTO and ticket vending machines, and a bike locker. The TTC station will have approximately 600 paid parking spaces, 14 accessible parking spaces, and a Kiss & Ride.
  • Other GO bus changes:
    • There will be more trips on Route 21, Route 92A will serve the new Park & Ride lot at Dundas St. and Hwy. 412, and time changes on other routes.
