TIPS FOR EASIER TRAVEL

Strollers

If you’re bringing a stroller on GO, please use one that can be folded and easily stowed, instead of more bulky or wagon styles. Please AVOID using the Accessibility Coach (5th coach, in the middle of the train). With so many people using GO to get to the Exhibition, space is limited; courtesy and consideration will help make it a comfortable and safe ride for everyone.

Tap on, Tap off with PRESTO

If you’re a regular PRESTO user and have Union Station as one of your default settings, don’t forget to override your settings at the PRESTO machine before boarding the train. Press the “Override” button then tap your PRESTO card on the device before boarding and when you reach your destination, tap off. You’ll need to do this for your trip to the parade and for the trip home. Your defaults will go back to your regular setting the next time you travel.

A little extra time, a little extra patience.

Please give yourself extra time – trains and buses will be busier than usual during the CNE, as will our stations, parking lots and ticket counters. A few extra minutes and a little extra patience can make a big difference and make your trip more enjoyable.

Extra Lakeshore trains after special events

This August we’ll have extra trains on the Lakeshore line to get you home more comfortably after special events.

There will be extra homebound Lakeshore West trains following the Blue Jays games on August 25-30, following the TFC game on August 23, following the Coldplay concert on August 21 and 22, and following the Argonauts game on August 19.

There will be extra homebound Lakeshore East trains following the Blue Jays games on August 25-27 and 29.

These trips will not appear in GO schedules as departure times will depend on when the events end and passenger volumes. Be sure to check the departure board and listen for announcements.

During this time, you may experience up to 10 minutes of additional travel time due to large crowds following special events at Union Station and Exhibition GO.
