Here is the information we have to report at 11:04, November 6, 2009:

ELEVATOR STATUS: FINCH BUS TERMINAL: . The elevator connecting the Finch Bus Terminal to the TTC tunnel is out of service. Passengers requiring the use of an elevator to access the TTC system are advised to use the TTC station elevator at the Kiss & Ride entrance, on the northwest corner of Yonge St. at Bishop Ave. UNION STATION: . The elevator to platforms 9, 10, 11, and 12 is out of service. GO Transit staff will be available to assist patrons requiring use of this elevator.
ESCALATOR STATUS: BURLINGTON GO STATION: . The escalators connecting to tracks 1, 2, and 3 have been taken out of service. Please be advised: GO Transit will be permanently removing the escalators in the Fall/Winter of this year and replacing it with a more reliable means of access to and from the rail platform. As a temporary solution, the escalators have been modified into a wooden staircase in an effort to ease congestion during the morning and evening rush. Wooden treatment has been applied to the escalator metal steps, creating a more uniform and safe solution to be used as a staircase. PICKERING GO STATION: . The escalator from the west building to the tunnel is out service. WHITBY GO STATION: . The escalator from the south parking lot has been taken out of service to start construction for an elevator. Passengers requiring mobility assistance to access station platforms are advised to use the elevator accessible from the north parking lot. UNION STATION: . Escalators 4/5, 6/7, and 8/9 are out of service: As part of GO Transit’s long term plan to improve Union Station, we are installing a staircase that will provide direct access from the new Bay West Teamway entrance. In order to prepare for the new entrance and staircase, we need to remove escalators 4/5 and 6/7. Also, the escalator to Platform 8/9 has been taken out of service in order to install a new staircase. Passengers requiring access to platform 4 may use the existing stairs or the elevator located on the southwest wall of the GO concourse. Passengers requiring access to platforms 5, 6, 7, and 8 may use the existing stairs or the elevator located on the south wall of the GO concourse. The elevator to platforms 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 are located in the Blue Route between the GO concourse and the Air Canada Centre. . The escalators serving platforms 24/25 are not in service until further notice.
