March Break is fast approaching, and with things opening back up (again), we know that you and your kids are eager to find fun activities to fill the week. GO Transit is here to help! We have some great suggestions for family outings and events, and we can get you there safely and comfortably. Leave the car at home and enjoy a stress-free ride while you forget about traffic and parking, and just focus on family fun.

There are a lot of things happening around the Greater Golden Horseshoe during March Break so you’re sure to find something that your whole family will love. Whether you’re looking to spend time enjoying the winter weather or you’d rather stay warm indoors, there’s a March Break activity that will work for you. Whichever outing you choose, we’ll be ready to take you there. It’s GO time!

GO Travel Savings

Having a fun-filled March Break doesn’t have to break the bank. When you travel with GO, you’ll save on gas and parking fees, but that’s not all! You can also have affordable March Break fun with these tips:

Kids GO Free

If you’re heading out with kids who are 12 years and under, remember that they always ride free on GO - and riding the train is an activity that kids will love before you even arrive at your March Break event or attraction.

Weekend Passes

Are you travelling on a weekend during March Break? Be sure to grab a $10 One-Day Pass for unlimited GO travel on a Saturday or Sunday, or a $15 Weekend Pass for unlimited GO travel all weekend long. They’re perfect if you’re planning on attending more than one event, or stopping in for a visit with friends after your day out with the kids.

Did you know that you can use your PRESTO card to get discounts to some of the top attractions in the Greater Golden Horseshoe? Enjoy 20% off the regular museum admission rate if you’re planning to check out the Great Whales Up Close and Personal exhibit at the ROM!

New Fare Discounts

Beginning March 14, 2022, we’re introducing new fare discounts to help our customers save even more when travelling with GO Transit.

We’ll be increasing the discount for teens and full-time post-secondary students to 40% off the full adult fare when using PRESTO. Riders aged 13-19 years will be eligible, regardless of whether or not they are enrolled in school.

We’ll also be increasing the co-fare discount on most local transit agencies to 100%. This means your local transit fare will be FREE when you travel to or from GO Transit and most local transit.
