We're Integrating Your Station!
Metrolinx is naming the Hurontario light rail transit (LRT) project as the Hazel McCallion Line, to commemorate the former Mississauga mayor. Once in service, the 18-kilometre Hazel McCallion Line will bring a new, environmentally friendly and reliable method of transportation to a rapidly growing region. The new transit system will feature 19 stops, travel through two urban growth centres and connect to major transit systems including GO Transit (Milton and Lakeshore West lines), the Mississauga Transitway, Brampton Transit, ZUM and MiWay. The Hazel McCallion Line will operate in its own dedicated lane ensuring a smooth, reliable and convenient ride along the region’s busiest street.

What's Changing
Upcoming traffic impacts at John & Hurontario Streets
As part of work on the Hurontario LRT project (Hazel McCallion Line), utility upgrade installations will be taking place in the area of John Street at Hurontario Street and will result in some traffic impacts.
Here’s what you need to know:
- From Tuesday, September 5 to Wednesday, September 20, a portion of John St. will be closed. No turns will be permitted from Hurontario St. onto John St. and there will be no through access from John St. onto Hurontario St.
- Access to John St. will be maintained through a detour via Hurontario St., Kirwin Ave. and Jaguar Valley Dr.
- Please follow all directional signs and use caution when near construction areas.
- Work schedules may be adjusted due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
Thank you for your patience while we complete this important infrastructure work.
Registration for reserved bike parking is now open
Construction on the new reserved bicycle parking room at Cooksville GO Station is now complete. To register for the reserved bicycle parking program, visit the Reserved Bicycle Parking web page on the gotransit.com.
- There are changes to station parking due to construction related to the Hurontario LRT project:
- The parking lot, on the east side of Hurontario Street, just south of the tracks, is closed so we can store construction materials.
- The parking lot on the west side of Hurontario Street, just south of the tracks, remains closed for construction.
- There is still plenty of parking available for you at the station.
Please give yourself extra time to get to the station during construction. Please follow signs and be careful around construction equipment and fenced off areas until this work is complete.
