June 9 -11: Partial bus replacement on Lakeshore West Line

Buses replace the train service between Oakville and West Harbour GO.

Starting late Friday, June 9 until the end of service Sunday, June 11, Lakeshore West train service will be adjusted. Buses will replace the train service between Oakville and West Harbour GO as we work to improve your service.

In preparation for the upcoming construction of the Burloak Drive grade separation, we need to move infrastructure in the corridor, and this can only be done when trains are not running.

Here is what you need to know:

• Train and bus connections for routes 15, 12, 18 and 21 will be impacted.
• Niagara Falls train service will end at Aldershot GO. 
• Shuttle bus service will run between West Harbour and Oakville GO stations.
• GO train service will run between Oakville GO and Union Station.
• Check out our real-time service details before you leave.

Regular service will resume Monday, June 12.

For those paying with PRESTO please remember:

• Top up your balance before heading out this weekend.
• Tap on and off for each portion of your GO commute when switching between vehicles.
• For those with a train trip default between Union Station and West Harbour GO – you will need to override this setting:

• Press the Mode button on the PRESTO device 1 time and then tap to override your default trip.

• At the end of your trip, remember to tap off. Your default trip will still be set to your card the next time you take the GO Train.

Niagara Falls customers, your commute will be a bit different:  

• Niagara Falls train service will end at Aldershot GO. 
• GO bus 12 service will run between Burlington GO and Niagara Falls as scheduled.
• GO shuttle bus service will run between Aldershot and Oakville GO stations.
• GO train service will run between Oakville GO and Union Station.

 For those planning to explore the Niagara Region by bicycle this weekend: 

•  GO buses carry a maximum of two bicycles per bus. If you are able, please consider travelling to Aldershot GO to board the train for Niagara. Learn more about travelling with a bicycle on GO here. 

• Cyclists may consider using the Waterfront Trail to cycle between Oakville GO and Aldershot GO to connect with our train service. The Waterfront Trail zone 2 map can be found here to show you the route.
