Service Adjustment Nov. 25 & 26

Lakeshore West customers

On the weekend of Saturday, Nov. 25 and Sunday, Nov. 26, Lakeshore West train service will be adjusted while we perform important construction work. Some bus connection times have also been adjusted.  

If you will be travelling with us over the weekend, please check our schedules and plan ahead.  

Construction work will happen all day on Saturday Nov. 25, so schedule adjustments will be in effect throughout the day.  

On Sunday, Nov. 26 we have created a special schedule to ensure that crews can perform their work safely, while we run as much service as possible to help you travel downtown to the Toronto Santa Claus Parade and back home again. 

Here is what our weekend service will look like: 

Saturday, Nov. 25 

There will be half-hourly service between Union Station and Oakville, and hourly service between Oakville and West Harbour GO all day in both directions. 

Some eastbound and westbound trip times will be adjusted, with some trains departing up to four minutes earlier.  

Some Niagara Falls trips will also be adjusted: 

• The 12:04 p.m. and 4:04 p.m. trains from Niagara Falls will be adjusted to depart two minutes earlier at 12:02 p.m. and 4:02 p.m. 
• The 6:19 p.m. train from Union Station will be adjusted to depart one hour and 15 minutes earlier at 5:03 p.m. 
• The 9:04 p.m. train from Niagara Falls will depart 46 minutes earlier at 8:18 p.m. 

 Sunday, Nov. 26 

Service on the Lakeshore West line will be adjusted during the afternoon of Sunday, Nov. 26. 

Between approximately 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., there will be hourly service between Oakville GO and Aldershot GO. Trains will run every half hour between Union Station and Oakville all day. 

Some trip times will be adjusted, with some trains departing up to two minutes earlier. 

One Niagara Falls trip will also be adjusted: 

• The 12:04 p.m. and 4:04 p.m. trains from Niagara Falls will be adjusted to depart two minutes earlier at 12:02 p.m. and 4:02 p.m. 

• The 8:20 p.m. train from Niagara Falls will be adjusted to depart two minutes earlier at 8:18 p.m. from Niagara Falls and St Catharines VIA.

What type of construction work is happening? 

This work is in preparation for the Burloak Grade Separation, as part of the GO Expansion program. This work will enable more frequent, two-way, all-day lakeshore West GO service in future.  

Lakeshore East customers

We are performing some important construction work on Lakeshore West throughout the Nov. 25-26 weekend, and, as a result, there will be a few trip adjustments on the Lakeshore East line. Some bus connection times have also been adjusted.  

If you will be travelling with us over the weekend, please check our schedules and plan ahead.  

The following trips will be adjusted on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 25-26: 

Westbound toward Union Station: 

• Trains that normally depart Durham College Oshawa GO at 12:36 p.m. and 1:36 p.m. will depart four minutes earlier from all stops. 

 Eastbound toward Oshawa: 

• Trains that normally depart Union Station at 3:48 p.m. and 4:48 p.m. will depart four minutes later from all stops.
