When driving through the station entrance at Steeles Avenue East, please use extra caution, and follow directional signs.
Please also give yourself extra time to get to where you need to go. The Steeles Avenue East station entrance is newly redesignated and includes separate station entrances for buses and customer vehicles, and it may take you some time to learn how to make your way through the area.
We're Making Progress
- For more than four years, crews have been busy on improvements, including a new parking garage, enhanced accessibility and safety features to create a better customer experience – with more connections.
- Major construction on the new GO station building, featuring a new tunnel connection and a new parking garage is complete and the new amenities are open for you to use.
- The parking garage is one of the biggest on the entire Metrolinx network, with the capacity to accommodate 2,059 vehicles.
- We’ve added more than 100 security cameras for your safety.
A car-counting system lets you know how many parking spaces are available at each of the six parking levels. - LED lights identify which parking spaces are available to use (green), which spaces are not available to use (red), and which spaces are designated for accessibility use (blue).
- At night motion detection lights up the parking garage to save energy.
- We’ve added more than 100 security cameras for your safety.
- We’ve finished important upgrades on the south platform and island (north) platform. We have also completed minor repairs to the pavement on both platforms. Both platforms now have a snow-melt system that helps keep the platforms clear of snow and ice, overhead canopies, shelters to protect you from the weather, and tactile yellow safety tiles to remind you how far back to stand. Both platforms can now also accommodate 12-car trains.
How You'll Benefit
This transformation will make it easier to access your station and bring you more service. Here’s what we have planned:

- Improved bus platforms for GO Transit and Brampton Transit
- Covered bike parking
- New retail space
- Improved access to Bramalea Road
- New accessible pedestrian tunnel at the west end of the station and a new accessible pedestrian tunnel linked to the new station building
