East Gwillimbury GO Station Improvements

We're building more parking spaces and making improvements at East Gwillimbury GO Station.

What's Changing

From Monday April 15 until early May we’re making repairs to the sidewalk connecting the southern part of the parking lot to the platform. During that time you’ll need to use the path from the station building to get to platform. Accessible parking spaces will be relocated slightly north, in the same row. This work is expected to last three weeks, but is weather dependent. Please give yourself extra time to catch the train.

On November 26, 2018, 250 new spaces opened for you to use. Work on the remaining 114 spaces will resume later this spring, once we complete other maintenance at the station. We’ll let you know when those spaces are ready for you.

More parking spaces means better access to your station, to go hand-in-hand with the new all-day GO service on the Barrie corridor.

This construction is supporting the projected growth along the corridor and at this station over the next 10-15 years.
