Introducing Stratford GO!
Starting July 6, we’re extending GO train service to Stratford with daily trips, seven days a week, year-round.
On weekdays, there will be a morning rush hour train from Stratford to Union Station, with a return train in the afternoon.
- NEW! 06:16 train departing Stratford GO to Union Station, arriving at 08:47.
- NEW! 16:52 train departing Union Station to Stratford GO, arriving at 19:28.
- These trains will stop at Kitchener, Guelph, Acton, Georgetown, Mount Pleasant, Brampton and Bramalea GO.
On weekends, there will be a morning train from Union Station to Stratford, with a return train in the evening.
- NEW! 08:49 train departing Union Station to Stratford GO, arriving at 11:16.
- NEW! 18:16 train departing Stratford GO to Union Station, arriving at 20:45.
- These trains will stop at Kitchener, Guelph, Mount Pleasant, Brampton, Bramalea and Bloor GO.
- These trains will be six coaches in length. You may need to adjust where you stand on the platform.
Note: Not all train doors will open upon arrival at Stratford GO, and you may need to move to a coach where the doors will open. Listen for announcements from your Customer Service Ambassador for instructions.
Additional service adjustments beginning Saturday, July 11:
- The 08:48 train from Union Station to Mount Pleasant GO will depart 14 minutes earlier at 08:34.
- GO bus route 30: The 09:18 weekend bus departing Highway 407 Bus Terminal will no longer run. Please connect to train service at Bramalea GO or bus routes 30 or 47.

How to pay your fare:
- PRESTO will not be available for Stratford customers at the start of service. We are exploring ways to bring PRESTO to Stratford and will share information as soon as we’re able.
- At this time, customers will not be able to purchase paper tickets to/from Stratford at our Ticket Vending Machines.
- E-tickets to Stratford GO can be purchased seven days in advance. Please do not purchase an e-ticket before June 30. You can purchase e-tickets online here.
- Children 12 and under always ride for FREE on GO.
- The $10 one day weekend pass will let you travel wherever you want on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Weekend passes are available here.
- Weekday group passes are also available here.
- Veterans and Canadian Armed Forces members can ride for free on GO Transit when travelling with their Veteran’s Service Card or a Canadian Military Service ID. More information here.
