The GO network is extensive, and that makes it perfect for getting you all around the Greater Golden Horseshoe! But, we understand that navigating such a large transit system can be difficult for both neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals.
We are always working on making GO Transit more accessible for everyone. We believe that there shouldn’t be any barriers to safe and convenient travel. That’s why we’re so excited to partner with Magnusmode to make travel easier with GO Card Decks in the MagnusCards app!
What is MagnusCards?
MagnusCards is a mobile app developed by Magnusmode that helps neurodivergent individuals (e.g. autistic) gain independence and feel confident in daily life activities through step-by-step digital guides and positive reinforcement.
The app includes many different Card Decks that offer visual cues along with audio and text-based instructions for everyday tasks — like travelling on GO Transit. It’s a digital library of life skills!
How Do I Get the MagnusCards App?
You can download the MagnusCards App for FREE on the App Store or Google Play.
When you open the app for the first time, you’ll need to create a free account using an email address.
The MagnusCards app is organized into 12 categories of life skills and tasks. To find the GO Transit Card Decks, tap the “Travel” category and then tap “GO Transit”.
You can tap on each Card Deck to view them using data or Wi-Fi, or you can download them so that you can view the cards offline.
How Will the MagnusCards App Help Me?
The GO Transit Card Decks in the MagnusCards App will help take the guesswork out of travelling within the GO network. Each Card Deck will guide you through one part of using GO Transit.
The clear, step-by-step instructions will prepare you for your trip so you know exactly what to expect ahead of time. This can help reduce any anxiety around using transit.
While you’re travelling, you can keep referring to the app and following the instructions in real-time so that you don’t need to worry about remembering all the steps.
