Starting Nov. 1, in addition to the ongoing work in the parking lot, the City of Markham will begin construction on YMCA Boulevard between the Unionville GO station main parking lot entrance and Kennedy Road.
Here's what you need to know:
- Two-way access on YMCA Boulevard will be available at all times.
 - Parking may be available at Mount Joy GO, which is about a 20 minute drive away.
 - Please plan ahead and give yourself extra time to get to the station.
 - Further road closures are expected in spring 2026.
 
Ongoing until December, 300 spaces in the south end of the parking lots, the east overflow lot and access road are closed.
Here's what you need to know:
- Approximately 300 parking spaces in the south end of the parking lots will be closed.
 - The east overflow parking lot is unavailable due to the east access road closure.
 - Please use the main access on YMCA Boulevard.
 
- During construction there are approximately 180 additional spaces available in an overflow lot at Pan Am Centre. Also about a 10-minute walk to the train platform.
 - The entrance to the parking lot is from Main Street Unionville, which can be accessed from Unionville Gate via Kennedy Road. To exit the Pan Am parking lot use the access road to the south leading to YMCA Boulevard.  - To exit the Pan Am parking lot use the access road to the south leading to YMCA Boulevard.
 - There are 14 accessible spaces available in the temporary Pan Am Centre overflow parking.
 - View driving directions to the Pan Am Centre temporary overflow lot.
 - Please plan ahead and give yourself extra time at the station for parking.
 - Follow all directional signage and use caution when moving around construction areas.
 - This work schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances and weather conditions.
 - Updates will be provided as work progresses.
