#StayHome With The #BollywoodMonster Mashup!
The Bollywood Monster Mashup is back with another year of amazing events that are great for the whole family!
GO Transit is excited to be partnering with BMM once again to bring you a week of music, culture, and interactive fun. The festival is virtual again this year so you can enjoy all the exciting entertainment from the comfort of your home while doing your part to stop the spread of Covid-19.
To get in on all the fun, follow the BMM Facebook page to read updates and watch the livestreams. Sign up here using code GO to get the Monster Haul. You’ll get access to free goodies, exclusive invites, and deals to support local small businesses!
What’s At The Bollywood Monster Mashup?
The #BollywoodMonster Mashup started in 2011, and it is the largest South Asian festival in Canada! Even while presented as a virtual festival, the #BollywoodMonster Mashup has gone BIG and is showcasing international Bollywood stars, talented visual artists and dancers, and world class musicians performing Indian and Indo-Caribbean music. The festival includes Indian, Pakistani, Guyanese, and Jamaican artists, making it an amazing cross-cultural celebration!
There’s even more fun leading up to the concert events with four days of workshops that will teach, entertain, and inspire every member of your family!
Do you dance around your living room while watching Bollywood films? Well, get ready to perfect those moves in a workshop with a professional dancer! But don’t worry - it’s all online so you’ll still be in the privacy of your house and no one will see any possible dance move fails!
Would you rather take part in a quieter activity? No problem. Get creative with watercolour painting or listen to a guided meditation. You’re sure to find a workshop that appeals to you and your family!
If you’ve never been to the #BollywoodMonster Mashup, now is the time to check it out. It’s okay if you don’t know very much about Bollywood films. The #BollywoodMonster Mashup is for everyone, so join the party and start learning about the music, the dancing, the energy, and the culture!
Join The Family Fun
The whole family is welcome at the Bollywood Monster Mashup! From Sept 6-9, #BollywoodMonster Family Fun will keep you moving, dancing, singing, and creating! There are virtual workshops for the young and young at heart.
The #BollywoodMonster Kidzone, brought to you by Tim Hortons, invites kids to explore dance, arts & crafts, and meditation. It’s a great way for kids to unwind during the first week back at school.
Art, movement, and singing workshops for seniors will appeal to older family members who want to keep active and have a little fun from the comfort of their living rooms!
Dilshad Burman hosts the Family Fun Ask Me Anything sessions in between workshops. A different special guest will be appearing each day.
