Toronto Arrows Rugby Football Games

If you’ve never experienced a live rugby game, this spring is the time to change that! The Toronto Arrows Rugby Football Club is Canada’s first and only professional rugby union team, and their home games are played at York Lions Stadium, making it easy to get there with GO. The team was established in 2018 and competes in Major League Rugby. You’ll love the action and excitement of cheering on the Arrows!

KURIOS - Cabinet of Curiosities (Cirque du Soleil)

Experience the unbelievable acrobatics and incredible contortions of a Cirque du Soleil performance. In KURIOS, you’ll see the world turned upside down as you step into the curio cabinet of an inventor and meet the characters and creations inside. This spectacle is sure to make for a special spring outing.

  • Cost: Tickets start at $70 including taxes and fees.
  • Get There With GO: Take the Lakeshore West GO train line to Exhibition GO Station. Walk south down Nova Scotia Ave to Lakeshore Blvd and look for the Big Top! It’s about a 10 min walk.

The Toronto Zoo

A trip to the Toronto Zoo is really like an expedition around the world, discovering the creatures that inhabit every corner of our amazing planet. The famous Toronto Zoo is well-known across North America and is a must-see for Torontonians and visitors alike, as it has over 4,000 animals representing over 340 species – from lions and cheetahs in African Savannah, wallabies in Australasia, Amur Tigers in Eurasia Wilds, to Tundra Trek polar bears and European reindeer. Don’t skip the Canadian domain’s moose and grizzly bears!

  • Get There With GO: Good news! Returning this year, starting May 21st, 2022, GO Transit brings back seasonal weekend bus service to the Toronto Zoo on GO bus route 96Z. Route 96Z will serve Oshawa GO, Whitby GO, Ajax GO, the Toronto Zoo, Scarborough Centre Bus Terminal, Yonge Street at Sheppard Avenue and Finch Bus Terminal.

Are you coming from downtown Toronto? It’s still an easy ride! Just take the Lakeshore East GO Train from Union Station to Ajax GO Station and connect to the 96Z bus from there. 

Toronto Newcomer Day

Mark Wednesday, May 25 in your calendars for the 8th annual Toronto Newcomer Day as the City of Toronto welcomes and celebrates newcomers to the city! Toronto Newcomer Day will feature information about key services, including a formal stage program, a citizenship ceremony for new Canadians, tours of City Hall, a newcomer marketplace, and an information fair.

  • Get There With GO: Take the GO from your nearest GO station to Union Station. Walk north up Bay St. and make a left on Queen St. It’s about a 20 minute walk.

Carassauga Festival of Cultures

Carassauga Festival, a celebration of multiculturalism, returns as an in-person festival this year. Taking place at various cultural and recreation centres around Mississauga, Carassauga aims to promote awareness, understanding, and respect for different heritages. With 23 countries to “visit” and a Kids Zone for crafts, games, and rides, Carassauga is fun for the whole family!

  • When: Saturday, May 28, 12 p.m. - midnight & Sunday, May 29, 12 p.m. - 7 p.m.

The One Of A Kind Spring Show returns as an in-person event this year! The theme for the Spring Show is Flourish, and over 350 artisans from across Canada are waiting to showcase their creativity and passion for craft at this fantastic event. The 27th annual Spring Cottage Life Show is here to help you get ready for your summer of boating, fishing, lounging on the dock, and maybe doing some upgrades to your cottage. Meet builders and contractors, and check out exhibits showcasing green solutions, cottage decor, water toys, and more. It’s everything you’ll need to prepare for cottage season!

  • When: April 7 - 10, 2022
  • Where: International Centre, Mississauga
  • Cost: General admission (ages 18+) is $21, senior tickets (ages 65+) are $15, youth tickets (ages 12-17) are $10, child tickets (ages 4-11) are $8, and kids 3 and under are free. These tickets are only valid for a selected date and entry time. Flex tickets are available for $30 for admission on any day and time.

The National Home Show

It’s been cancelled for the past two years due to the pandemic, but now the National Home Show presented by RE/MAX returns to the Enercare Centre! With more than 500 home vendors, this is the largest home and garden show in Canada. After two years of spending most of your time at home, you probably have some ideas for improvements. At the Home Show you can discover innovative products and great deals that will help you turn your ideas into reality!

  • When: April 15 - 24, 2022
  • Where: Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place
  • Cost: General admission (ages 18+) is $20. Tickets for seniors (ages 65+) are $17 and youth tickets (ages 13-17) are $16. Free admission for children aged 12 and under.

The Khalsa Day parade is cancelled this year, but all-day celebrations will still take place at Nathan Phillips Square. Also known as Khalsa Day, this important date commemorates the establishment of the Sikh community in its present form as ordained by our tenth Guru in 1699. People of all backgrounds and faiths are welcome to attend the celebration.

The Baby Show

The 2022 JUNO Awards

If you’re a Canadian music fan, this is the ultimate spring event for you! Be in the audience for The 51st Annual JUNO Awards, broadcasting live from an outdoor venue for the first time, at Budweiser Stage in Toronto. New Fare Discounts

As of March 14, 2022, we’ve increased discounts on some of our fares to help customers save more money. Our discount for all youth aged 13-19 and full-time post-secondary students has increased from 22.5% to 40% off the regular adult fare. Our Co-Fare discount has increased to 100% off on most local transit agencies. That means that your local fares are now FREE when you connect to or from GO Transit. Riding with GO is more affordable than ever!
