A contactless DRIVE-IN concert event!
Are you looking for events in Pickering this weekend? We’re all feeling a bit cooped up and stir-crazy, right? We want to get out of the house and have some fun! The warm weather usually means outdoor music festivals with friends and family, but how can we do that while being mindful of Covid precautions?
Just join us at the Pickering Village JAMFest this Friday, June 18 or Saturday, June 19 from 7pm-10pm. You can get your jam on safely!

It started out as the Pickering Village Jazz Festival, but became the Pickering Village JAM Festival in 2011, and it’s always a highlight of the Pickering Events Calendar. JAMFest showcases the best of Durham region’s musical talent, including rock and roll, jazz, blues, and folk. There’s music for everyone!
What’s Changed This Year?
While we are ready to rock, GO Transit is supporting things happening differently this year to keep everyone safe!
In the past, taking the GO train has been a great way for music lovers to travel to JAMFest from other parts of the GTA. This year GO is providing a safe venue at the Ajax Station Parking Lot for JAMFest to become a drive-in concert event.
Here’s what you can expect at this fully contactless event:
- Tickets passes are per vehicle and you can have as many people in your vehicle as there are working seatbelts. Everyone should be part of the same household
- Tickets will be scanned through vehicle windows
- Concert goers will remain in their vehicles unless using the restrooms or visiting food concessions.
- A great live music experience!
We Can Still Jam!

Sure, it’s not exactly like the JAMFest, or other musical festivals, that you might have attended in past years, but we think you can still groove at a GO station!
Maybe we can’t safely dance yet, but we can get a good head bob going! We can do some steering wheel drumming, or even a little air guitar. We can shake our shoulders and tap our toes from the comfort of our cars.
We can give a nod to the people in the next vehicle to say, “Yeah! We are still jamming together!”
What’s The Lineup?
Each night features an eclectic lineup of great performers. Whether you love 80’s hits, hard rock, Celtic folk, or R&B - you’ll find something that’s your jam!
Friday, June 18:
- 7:00 pm - Two For The Show
- 7:45 pm - Old Man Flanagan’s Ghost
- 8:45 pm - Ayden Jacobs Band
- 9:45 pm - Cece Pastor and Word of Mouth
Saturday, June 19
Where Do I Buy Tickets?
You can purchase tickets online at Eventbrite. Tickets will be available at the venue if they haven’t sold out in advance, but space is limited so grab your spot now!
How Do I Get There?
If you live in Ajax and take the GO train to commute to work, use the Kiss & Ride in the morning and then have your family pick you up at the station on Friday evening so you can all attend the concert together!
If you’re driving from home to JAMFest, you’ll find that the directions to the Ajax GO station are easy.
You might just want to return to the station with your family on Sunday and take the GO train to one of the six best hiking trails in Ontario. Our Covid-19 safety measures are helping to keep passengers safe during travel, and remember - kids 12 and under ride free!
GO Transit is your ticket to fun and safe outings all summer long! See you at JAMFest!
