Elevator Rehabilitation
Beginning Sept. 8, the elevators at Danforth GO will be out of service for major repairs and upgrades. During this time, accessibility at Danforth GO station will be significantly impacted.
There will be no elevators available at the station.
If you’re travelling to Danforth GO and require step free access:
- The station building and the north side of the community remains accessible from Platform 1.
- There will be no step free access from Platform 2/3. Take the train to Scarborough GO, transfer to the next Lakeshore East train towards Union Station, and exit at Danforth GO.
The only step free access between the station and the community on the southside, is via the Main Street bridge. This is not a recommended accessibility route.
The work is expected to be completed by the end of November 2026.
When travelling to Danforth GO, listen for announcements on the train regarding any platform changes that may affect your access to the station. These changes can occur at any time. It is important to stay alert and aware when travelling.
While staff are happy to provide information and guidance, they are unable to push customers in their personal mobility aids or assist with carrying luggage, bags, or other personal items. Click here for more information about requesting accessibility assistance at our stations.
