Elevator Rehabilitation

The elevators at Danforth GO are out of service for major repairs and upgrades. During this time, accessibility at Danforth GO station is significantly impacted.

There are no elevators available at the station.

If you’re travelling to Danforth GO and require step free access;

• The station building and the north side of the community remains accessible from Platform 1.
• There will be no step free access from Platform 2/3. Take the train to Scarborough GO, transfer to the next Lakeshore East train towards Union Station, and exit at Danforth GO.
• Additionally, the pedestrian tunnel connecting to the train platforms and the station building is closed Monday to Friday between 01:15 and 05:20 and on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays between 01:15 and 06:10, please proceed to Main Street. 

The only step free access between the station and the community on the southside, is via the Main Street bridge. This is not a recommended accessibility route.

The work is expected to be completed by the end of November 2026.  

When travelling to Danforth GO, listen to announcements on the train for platform changes that may affect how you access the station. These changes can happen anytime, and it is important to stay alert and aware when travelling.
