Platform restrictions begin Aug. 7

On Aug. 7, the south end of the platform will be temporarily closed due to construction. Trains will be available for boarding at the north end of the platform.

Please note, that not all train doors will open upon arrival at Richmond Hill GO.

If you’re travelling to Richmond Hill GO:

From Union Station, please ensure you board the train at the accessibility ramp or east of it, towards Bay Street.

From another Richmond Hill line station, please ensure you board the train at the accessibility ramp or north of it.

You may need to move through the train to a coach where the doors will open. Listen for announcements from your Customer Service Ambassador for instructions.

Here’s what you need to know:

• Please remember to spread out along the platform and use all available doors when boarding.
• Plan ahead and give yourself additional time for parking and boarding your train.
• During this closure the platform asphalt will be repaired, and platform safety features will be installed.
• This work is expected to be complete by the early Sept. 2026.
• Follow all directional signage and use caution when moving around construction areas.
• This work schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances and weather conditions.

Construction is ongoing, affecting the way you access the main parking lot and station building.

Passenger pick-up and drop-off construction

The passenger pick-up and drop-off area is closed due to construction, while we work to improve the current layout.

A temporary pick-up and drop-off is available on the southeast side of the station building.

Here’s what you need to know:

• Approximately 130 parking spaces are closed during this phase of construction.
• This work is expected to be complete by the end of August 2026.
• Some walkways around the station and train platform are closed.
• Follow all directional signage and use caution when moving around construction areas.
