- Service changes start Sept. 5
Starting Saturday, Sept. 5, we’re adjusting GO bus service across the network to better meet customer needs.
Starting Tuesday, Sept. 8, we’re adjusting service on Lakeshore West, Lakeshore East, Barrie and Stouffville lines. These schedule changes support our rail partner with their advancement of crew training and certification, allowing recovery from high ridership demands during FIFA and to provide the capacity for future service needs. These interim measures are expected to continue until spring 2027.
If you are travelling on the Barrie or Stouffville lines, additional GO bus service has been added to support train service adjustments.
We know these types of changes to service are challenging, and we appreciate your understanding and patience with these adjustments.
Many of our bus trip schedules have changed to enable better connections with rail and bus and to balance trip frequency. Some schedules have changed by up 65 minutes.
Reminder: Service to Canada’s Wonderland, Toronto Zoo, and route 25K (Toronto Premium Outlets) will end for the season on Aug. 30.
Here are a few important reminders to make it easier to travel on GO:
The length of your train may be changing.
- Many trains across the network will change in length. You may need to adjust where you are waiting on the platform.
- Please give yourself extra time to board.
- The number of coaches per train is noted on platform screens at all stations, except Union.
The platform your train departs from at Union Station may change. Always refer to digital screens in the concourse for your departure platform and ask a member of staff for assistance if required.
