Service Changes Start May 17

Service changes on Lakeshore West, Stouffville and Richmond Hill lines start May 17

Starting May 17, all Niagara Falls train trains on the Lakeshore West line will now stop at West Harbour GO, giving customers in the Hamilton, St. Catharines and Niagara region more travel options, including new service on weekends.

  • West Harbour GO will have four more trains on weekdays and six new trains on weekends.
  • Weekday Niagara Falls trains that stop at West Harbour GO will be up to eight minutes faster.

West Harbour GO improvements

The newly completed connecting track at West Harbour GO station enables this expanded service. Previously, West Harbour GO was not connected to the main track west of the station, forcing Niagara Falls trains to reverse into and out of the station. Trains will be able to travel directly through the station without needing to reverse, resulting in smoother operations and a more efficient journey.

Richmond Hill line

Starting May 19, all northbound trains on the Richmond Hill line will depart two minutes later than usual at all stations other than Union Station. There will be no changes to departures at Union Station.

Stouffville line

All northbound trains on the Stouffville line will depart one minute earlier than usual at all stations other than Union Station. There will be no changes to departures at Union Station.

Barrie line

To better accommodate customer volumes, the length of some Barrie line trains are changing.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • The 3:53 p.m. from Union Station will now be 12 cars long.
  • The 5:23 p.m. from Union Station will now be 10 cars long.
  • You may need to adjust where you are waiting on the platform.
  • Please give yourself extra time to board.
  • The number of coaches per train is noted on platform screens at all stations, except Union.

Be sure to check your schedules before you travel.
