Stouffville

On Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5, all weekend trains on the Stouffville line will start and end at Kennedy GO instead of Union Station due to important construction work taking place. Trips between Old Elm or Mount Joy and Kennedy GO will run hourly.

To travel between Kennedy GO to Union station, please consider using local transit.  PRESTO and contactless payment customers can transfer for free with Ontario's One Fare Program.

If you’re travelling to Union Station from Kennedy GO:

  • Connect to a TTC route 86, 116, 12 or 21 bus to Kennedy Station and connect to a subway on TTC line 2, transfer to a subway on TTC line 1 at Yonge  and Bloor Station to continue to Union Station.

If you’re travelling to Kennedy GO from Union Station:

  • Connect to a subway on TTC line 1 to Yonge  and Bloor Station where you can transfer to a subway on TTC line 2 to Kennedy Station, then connect to a TTC route 86, 116, 12 or 21 bus.

Please remember to check your schedules in advance.

What type of construction work is happening?

The east section of Union Station Rail Corridor (USRC) is continuing its track integration work for the Ontario Line. We will be testing and commissioning railway infrastructure installed the weekend of Oct. 14 -16 of 2023. The benefits of all this work are:

  • The Ontario line will make it faster and easier to travel within Toronto and beyond.

  • 15 stops and more than 40 connections to other transit, including GO train, subway, LRT, streetcar and bus lines.

  • Approximately 30 minutes from one end of the line to the other.

  • 28,000 fewer cars on the road each day.
