Service Adjustments to Start on Jan. 3

Beginning Jan. 3, we’ll be adjusting GO bus schedules on routes 16, 17, 21, 29, 30, 31, 33, 40, 47, 56, and 71 to better reflect actual travel times. Please be sure to check your schedules before you travel.

Route 40

We're introducing GO bus route options that extend to serve the Humber Polytechnic and connect to the new Finch West LRT.

  • Route 40M and 40H connect the new Finch West LRT to GO Transit’s Stouffville rail line.
  • This route enhances regional connectivity between Hamilton, Halton, Peel, Toronto and York regions.
  • The new service enables direct rides between Unionville GO and Pearson Airport with no transfer required.

 Route 29 and 31

We're adding more weekday trips on routes 29 and 31 due to increased demand.

  • On route 29, we’re adding one new eastbound trip and two new westbound trips.
  • On route 31, we're adding one new westbound trip.

Routes 52, 56 and 92

  • We're adding a bus stop on Gibb Street, east of Stevenson Road to accommodate long-term construction on Simcoe Street in Oshawa.

Routes 54 and 66

As of Jan. 3, 2026, routes 54 and 66 will be removed.

  • Route 54 customers: To travel between Unionville GO and Highway 407 Terminal, please use GO Bus routes 52 and 56, or connect to York Regional Transit for convenient local travel.
  • Route 66 customers: To travel to and from Union Station, please use GO Transit’s Barrie line, or connect to York Regional Transit for convenient local travel.

Bringing a bike with you?

With so many people using GO Transit, space is limited. Please consider leaving your bike at home. If you’re bringing a bicycle on a GO train during this time, use bike coaches if available or board at Designated Bicycle Zones. A maximum of two bikes can fit on a bike rack on each GO bus. Find out more about travelling with your bike on GO.

On New Year’s Eve, December 31, we are expecting space on our trains to be very limited. To ensure the safety and comfort of our customers, bikes may be prevented from travelling on trains to and from Union Station based on capacity demands. Thank you for your understanding.
