We’re relocating the accessible platform at your station to accommodate 12-car trains on the Kitchener Corridor.
What This Means for You
We’re constructing a new, accessible platform approximately 50 metres east of the current location, then demolishing the old one. We’re also improving safety at the station by installing new lighting and tactile paving on the edge of the platform. As a result of this construction:
- We will be restricting parts of the platform. During construction, the station will not be accessible from Eastern Ave. If you normally use this route, you will have to take Eastern Ave. to the western entrance to the station. Please give yourself extra time to plan your route.
- Please board and exit your train at one of the cars west of the accessible platform.
- The shelter will be demolished and then re-built in a new location in the last phase of construction. This will ensure the platform remains accessible throughout the project.
This project begins in early April and is expected to be complete this summer.
