Strollers on buses

Double-decker buses

Strollers are welcome on the lower level of double-decker buses and children can remain in their stroller.

When space is available, please place open strollers in the wheeled-mobility aid (WMA) area. If it’s in use, strollers may stay in the aisle as long as they don’t block movement or impact other customers’ comfort or safety.

Access may be limited during busy times or for safety reasons meaning boarding with an open stroller may not always be possible. If this happens, the driver will contact support before making a final decision.

To ensure safety and a comfortable ride for all:

  • Children should never be left unattended in a stroller.
  • Make sure the stroller is secured during travel.
  • You may be asked to move your stroller if a customer with a disability requires the priority seating or WMA area.
  • Respect the driver's instructions. They are there to ensure safety for all.

High-floor highway buses

For safety and comfort on GO Transit high-floor highway buses, strollers must be folded and placed in the luggage compartment before boarding. Please allow extra time before departure to safely store your stroller.

GO Transit is not responsible for any items that are lost, stolen, or damaged while stored in the luggage compartment, we recommend keeping valuables with you.
